Eight Changes for Racial Equity

Talking about race is a delicate task but imperative to the goal of reaching the ideals of a country where freedom, equality and justice should be afforded to all; ideals that are still unmet to this day. Having conversations about race allows for personal reflection and increased personal awareness, where individuals are able to recognize their status and privileges (or lack thereof) with respect to others. These conversations also provide the opportunity for educational elements to be discussed in greater detail thereby connecting the past to the present and detailing the history of the development of the racial caste system in America and its continued effects within all sectors of society.
